If you want to see how it was done "back then", just look at all these detailed pictures...never seen shock mounts done this way....and what the heck are the bones made from?

Holy shit I wish I would have seen this, I would have hit buy it now, without even having all the money, woulda sent that guy my whole tax return and then sold everything I've been stashing to get the rest. I guess its a good thing I didn't see it.

Unless he happens to really like that car I'd put money on seeing it for sale again soon. That guy buys stuff to sell. Cool guy though - I bought a steering box from him a couple of years ago at a swap.

ONLY if it sells as HIS price!

If it were me, I would have bought it and drove it the way it is...a survivor...and smiled a lot!!!

Gosh...I was just sick for couple weeks after I saw that...it was such a fluke I ran across it at five in the morning. I've taken alot of crap from friends who thought I was insane for not jumpin on it. Eh...you can't have em' all. Johnny

Hey, I remember this really well. That was a steal.

It sad that the guy who won the first auction isn't out tooling around in that car, but instead is trying to make $10,000 by reselling it. If he can make it, good for him, I guess. I snooze, I lose.

I swear to god, this car was at the roundup too. Nobody saw it because it was crammed inbetween two vendors, you could hardly get a picture of it if you tried. I didn't of course.....but I thought it was one of the coolest cars at the show, but no one knew it was there.....anybody know what the deal was??

Yup it was right across from my booth in Texas...

Tuck, Savage and I saw it on Friday by the Ass monkey semi..on its trailer
I nearly pooed my pants...That thing is incredable!! but they wanted 22,000,00 for it...Damm I was just 22,000,00 shy of getting it.

it's a really neat car..definatly one of my favorites at the show...

  17. Reserve met at $18,500.

That was fast. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? You are right. Damnit.

This car hits all marks. Stance, height, equipment. It looks real solid. Every element works together. Nothing looks arbitrary, just a straight forward roadster. I like that windshield. I like the grill for location and height. Headlight placement. No "adornment". No detailing to show off componants. Nice dead lacquer paint. Dust. Patina. I'm... uh... this is porno for gearheads. Excuse me.

I recommend that we all hold our breath until it reappears. Hopefully the new owner will have the good sense to respect this gem and not inflict his own questionable taste on it.

I would like to know who built it. This doesn't look like the work of a novice. I'm not ashamed to say that I would be perfectly willing to use this as a template for my own.

Yep thats BP's car. we had it in our booth Austin. I love the windshield on that car. He's also gone to alot of detail to ensure it doesnt get changed or washed. The carbs were rebuilt to get it to run however no dirt was removed or cleaned from the cores. Crazy! I love it.
