Mike Shoaf, known on the HAMB as Slide. Great guy!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232669&highlight=slide Bart
Thanks XG! This was a really great show last year with a great turnout. The City of Irving has their annual downtown festival thing going on adjacent to the car show, so there's stuff for the whole family.
Bart, you and and the supporters have really made this show great, cant wait to come this year, With that said please have the kids hot rod coloring again Ryder really liked that Mike, excellent art work Rusty
Rusty, I have a couple things in the works for the coloring contest. If they come together, it will be great! So far I have 3 guys drawing something up for the kids. Bart
Yes, I will be looking for trophy builders, same arrangement as last year. I already have about 6 guys/clubs committed to making trophies. We will need it because we are increasing the judged classes. We are also going to do "club picks" this year. I can give you more details at the breakfast on Saturday. Bart
Things are coming together and we should have registration open by the end of July. Stay tuned... Bart
Looks like we are going to have a great turn out from all the interest people have show about the show. Hope you can come out with the Dirty's again this year. Bart
maybe this yr pecker head 28 wont have to give me a push to get me going as he did last yr, we had met on the side of the road for others, when I went to start the 52 , it would barley turn over. he pushed me about 25 feet by hand and bingo... since then I found the problem..darn battery had a dead cell, but before it would always start, just wanted to wait till it cooled off.......just in case you have a ride that sometimes doesn't want to start after it is hot...................it might just be a dead cell in the battery...I checked ever thing but that, put on a starter shield, installed a hot shot, nothing worked till I had the battery checked.. no problems since then,, I was about ready to take it some where when the wife said.............check the battery.........lol sorry about hi-jacking your thread.........for folks that have not been, you need to come out.....I am new to the Hamb group but all have treated me great, even if I might have a non traditional ride.....I just call it my hot rod..
Glad the Torques are coming out for the show. And I can't wait to see the "club pick" trophy. I updated the web site and you can see last years trophies. Bart
