In case you didn't see it, click on the Jalopy Journal and scroll down on the left there is posted the intake manifold listings from the 1959 Almquist catalog, there is some real interesting reading to be had.Back in the day there was a vast selection for Ford 215-223,Flatheads and Y-blocks,check out all those pages.Edgar Almquist has quite a history you might want to google him up and check it out,he wrote a book"Hot Rod Pioneers" preface was written by Don Garlits.I ran across one bit of info that Ed Almquist still lives in ****ord,Pa and still drives his '31 Roadster and was rumored that some of his intakes were going to be reproduced, maybe we can get Retro Jim to be our investigative reporter?
I only live about 45 minutes from ****ord and I have a few friends who grew up there. I'll do some research. I would love to pick his brain about these old inlines.
JeffB2 , I would love to but ****ord is about 5-6 hours from me . I live down near Gettysburg near the Mason-Dixon line . Sorry I wish I lived closer . RetroJim
