here's a pic.. right now, i have a hydraulic throwout bearing installed.. it is about 1" deeper than a manual throwout bearing.. i had to use a 1/4" spacer between the engine and bellhousing (dont like it) but still dont have enouth pedal to disengage the clutch.. im taking it out and puting a bearing and fork in it.. but stumped on linkage.. im also thing of using a slave cylinder, either push or pull... my clutch master cylinder is wilwood 3/4" bore.. engine is 350 chevy, trans is saginaw 4 speed

I use The Willwood master with the 62 chevy pickup slave. both bores are equal, think they're 3/4. you just have to fabricate a bracket for the slave which is a pretty basic design. It points toward the rear of the car and pushes the fork

Here is a manual clutch set that I cobbled together for my 38 Chevy, nothing fancy, just functional.

is your pedal soft or hard with both bores being equal?

It's pretty soft. even in traffic it's no problem. Vtx 1800 is another good route. if you look at any mid sixties or early seventies chevy pick up they use a similar manual bar mounted to the frame and on the side of the block where that pivot ball is bolted. i've seen many of these at any pick n pull with a good selection of trucks and you can get all the three parts(frame bracket, cross bar,and the pivot ball needed for cheap. they're not as sanitary as the hydraulic but they work better. GM must have figured that out cause they stopped using hydraulic clutch systems after two years i think
