Manual shifter question

    I have a question while handbuilding a manual shifter ... Whats the diamiter size hole that connects the shifter rod to the linkage... is that 1/2 or what?

    I thought it for more Universial type trans... I guess either 3 or 4 speed trans...
     
  4. this may sound like a very generalized answer, but just build it outta whatever you got, and make it fit! seriously. i know thats kinda like the "duh" answer, but im sure you can make anything fit.

    use a "grinder" to slim it down, and a "welder" to build it up. you should be able to figure it out.

    now, on the other hand, ill build one for ya in trade for that old chevy you got! [​IMG] [​IMG]!

  5. Half an inch is close- cause the rodsd are about 3/8"plus nylon bushings......sounds about rite.
