lived here 41 years, crawl around in attics & under houses, my dad worked for PG&E here for forty years and i don't know anyone personally that has Valley Fever. I understand it is real and can be dangerous, but that article seems like a scare tactic to me.
Lived here for 10+ years. Got it 7 years ago. Resulted in pneumonia, my case was an extremely high exposure case. Doctors said it was a fatal level. They found that out some three months after the pneumonia was over. I recovered without anything more than antibiotics for the pneumonia. It is rare at best to get it. Moreover, I was digging doing side wide in landscaping.
