Headed to Bakersfield for the first time and was wondering if there is any need/advantage in purchasing the tickets online before I get there. Any advice for a first timer?
Seating is open at Bakersfield so it is first come, first served. Try sitting at different places during the event--the bleachers go almost to the finish line and the view from there is great-especially when Mike Boyd is carrying the front wheels on the Winged Express through the lights. As for general advice, get there early so that you don't end up parked in the orange groves--there is a limited amount of parking space on the property. Buying the tickets in advance will avoid standing in line at the booth when you get there. Don't drive anything that you are worried about getting covered in dust. Roo
