I was going to be there Saturday with my 2 sons as I am every year.

Attached is the weather for McFarland as of this morning...

 

Maybe we can blame Blake for this too.

 

Looks iffy for Sunday! The forecast has changed about a hundred times! I'll be there anyway.
By the way, the CHP is usually all over the 5 on the March Meet weekend, so watch it!

 

Last year on Sat there was no rain but they shut down early because the track was cold. The cars could not hook up

6.00 am this morning bowser that runs the track was on local new, says there ready to go, have jet dryers ready, chuys kick off party tonight. Local weather saying patches of light shower or two nothing major for sat and sun.

Well I can't predict tomorrows weather. But it looks like a lovely cloud free, you can even see the mountains kinda day here in Bako

Channeled????? Its stock ride height minus fenders just like they used to do to Gow-Jobs. The fellas ran at the lakes under Russeta Timing association in the 40's with something along these lines for the coupes.-Weeks

i like that "start of summer" show. i've been once, is this the show your talking about?

 

thatsthe show it is a good one, same weekend as nsra nationals here in bakersfield i beleive.

 

Been to a ton of drag races over the years, but this March Meet is really over the top on the cool meter. How often do you sit in the grandstands on a Friday afternoon and you're surrounded by the likes of Gary Beck, Gary Selzi, and get to visit with childhood hero Tom McEwen. This is one bitchin' event not to miss. The Bowser's have turned this place into into much more than a drag race - in essence, it's preserving history. Whatever the weather decides to do, it's just fun to take it all in, even if it took 826 miles to get here.
