Keep the faith and strive forward. It took me 5 years to finish my FED and was worth the wait. Stick to your plan and you will be rewarded with a great feeling of accomplishment.
    Big Dad:
A friend and myself went to the March Meet in 2001. We had a blast.
We live in upstate NY and just love nostalgia drag racing. Bracket racing is so boring to watch. I did not get to Calif. when I was young to see the good stuff. I got my introduction @ Niagara Drag Strip in 1971. I was eleven years old and have enjoyed front engine dragsters ever since. Yes bathrooms would be a nice addition and it will come with time.
Thanks God for the growing nostalgia races across the country.
We will get back to "The patch" agian and the good quality racing will overcome the little things.

Thanks Matt! Jeem, I appreciate the comment man. There are plenty like me out there, they just know nitro is stupid expensive and the learning curve is steep. I keep saying "I'm going to update my site soon" and never do. My wife and I do it and there just ain't enough hours in the day. I have hundreds of pictures and a LOT of stories to add. We've set aside a half day this tuesday to try and add some stuff.

My point about the updates is, after I run the car and actually see how we handle all this horsepower on a sticky track (push start, no water box, no burn-out. I'm lining it up an HITTIN' IT), We'll post every detail of the car's construction on www.armageddontopfuel.com. Every measurement, part and engine spec will be listed in detail. Those fire bottles and the big, sturdy and SAFE 6 point cage may be ugly, but it's built to fit under a swoopy 'chute tail body just fine. Hopefully, some more will be built.

These rails are RACE cars. Not 11 second water burnout exhibition cars. There isn't a class for them yet, so I'll be running in Advance E.T. like the Winged Express is. Our goal is to have the first tire smoker in the FIVES. If I can't find enough money to build ATF, at least one car will be built and run...None of us really know how it's all gonna go down.

I wish you all could see what's in my head...it's a big, bad, beautiful thing...

  4. You haven't been? It's worth it. Friday night hanging out in the host hotel parking lot, smack talking with old and new friends. Hot laps around the hotel, right Abone?

Racing Saturday doesn't usually include nitro but it is cool. Seems like we've been getting faster each year.

It may not be just like it was but it sure is a lot of fun with like minded folks who aren't afraid to run what they have. It is getting about as big as I hope it gets. I think Ryan has some thoughts on that.

Join us this year, you won't be disappointed.

Jim Marlett has been taking some great pics each year. Here is a link to this last years HAMB Drags.
