Tested the roof wood today, was a little to thick up front but after some milling it sat good .

Next thing to do is to take care of the bended door posts.

:)You trimmed the wood with a water jet ? I like the way you said the bended posts ,They are really ugly. I'm sure you will make it all better !!!!!!! You are not the fastest around but the fast don't pass you.

Nope, a handheld router was used to get the right thickness in the front piece.
    Good things take time ;)

That door post, did you make a replacement piece
or straighten and reuse the old one?
I have a similar issue with my 3-window.
That top insert frame looks killer.
Cover it with clear fabric so it isn't hidden. :D

I straighten the old peice using an dolly tabe. Works really good.
Some years ago an old gentlemen walked by my shop and he notised that I had some old cars . He said he had something for me and showed up a few days later and gave me the table.
    Thats really kind :)

    COOL!
I missed out on something like that a few years ago.
A friend of mine went to a school auction to bid on some lathes and mills.
He was telling me later about a
"table and rack that had a bunch of funny
looking pieces of steel, in different shapes and polished heads.
They had tapered shafts that fit in holes in the table.
Hardly anyone bid on them and they were probably sold as scrap."
I nearly killed him. But he didn't know what they were, so I let him live.

As you know, working on the car is an up and down thing. Been very "up" lately .
My goal is to do something every day, even if its just for an hour some days.
Im also lucky as sometimes my job works by itself, when doing a bigger jetcutting that takes between 3-10 hours I set the machine on gsm mode and it sends me a textmess if something goes wrong. That means I can work on the 32 while working :)

Had a lucky weekend, been searching for this dash a loong time and almost had gave up when a friend of mine told me he had one for sale. Bought it from him yestarday and had it sandblasted this morning.
It needs to be shorter so I cut it were the achtray is located and took away 1.1/4 on each side.
The area that is against the front window also needs to be modified, thats the next thing to do.
Cant use my heater anymore and I need to find new gauges but thats ok, the socal gauges isn't really what I want.

:)Sending some pics for inspiration, but you prolly got it figured out already.:D The heater is too big a diameter ? pics show round vents in the sides and the front grill could be baffled.Defroster plumbing should be simple. Inside the lower part a non covered heater core can be housed with no prob, but your electrical components are mounted above, they don t need the heat. Also I noticed your horizontal dash looks shallow. Then I observed the customizers added rolled panels to the bottom edge.

Thanks Tnomoldw for all those pics :) making a grille crossed my mind but I like the stock Lincoln midsection to much to change it.

To make the dash fit on the 32 a new front is needed. Did it in 2 parts and tigwelded it together as i cant bend it that much.
After this shot I used the shrinker to get the correct shape.

Had it clamped together with a thicker material to keep the top edge strait when welding .
