Question of the day and I would be happy to get some answers.

I,m about to get me some "bump stops" for the rearend. I have two choices. Or
maybe something else that I dont know.

1: short style under the frame .That I dont think do the job soo good.
2: longer style inside the frame that also would be progressive in case they are coned.

Please give me some ideas of were to go with this little issue.

    Regards Martin

Go with choice #2 . If you go with a cone shaped bump stop, and the small end is too pointed, at contact it may chuck it off to one side of the axle tube. Better to be more blunt and your point of contact be distributed better. The #2 picture will let you use a bigger stop, sit lower, and you can even adjust it with shims. Great car and a great thread.

Look at 48 Ford rear bumpers. They are kinda donut shaped, and are softer than a solid bumper. I switched some stock 34's for a pair of 48's last summer and the ride is WAY softer (it hits the bumpers quite often).

Went to the local auto parts store and he ordered me a pair of Federal Mogul bump stops, the bump stop box even said it has "Nascar Performance"..........wow. so I´ll
    probably hit 170 mp/h with the 32 then.:D

Alchemy. Thank for your advise, sadly to get a pair of 48 bumpers I need to order them from usa and it feelt a little bit much for some rubber . I try the ones that I bought today and can change them later if needed.

Did the holes on them to get a easy fixing on the mill, I used the mill to get a 2.5 degree angle on both sides for realese in the sandcasting later.

Also cut out the "star" to get the right circular degree pattern for the wings, the parts to the right was a misstake =)......

Thats right, to hold the wing down on to the milling machine .

As I mention before I wanted some text on the wheels.
Yesterday I milled a round circle as shown on the pic and then drawed a ring with text in a 3d program.
The text-ring is being made today in a 3d-printer.
Then I will glue the ring into the milled circle.

Steve NorCal - thats not a problem. I think that later on all the other guys will have a problem that you are one of few that still has a unchopped coupé .
Seems like everybody has to chop there cars now adays.
A winner for me is a low stance coupé with stock roof, A or 32 doesnt matter.
My body was chopped when I got it.
If it wasnt, I would have left it as is.

This is the crossmember for the trailerhitch seen from the underside, the big hole in the middle is a must to get acsess to the two bolts that holds the hitch.
Looks ugly so I mad a lid for it today.
