  2. In relation to the rear suspension, are you planning on running a panhard bar? What are you planning on running for a rear spring? Beautiful work as always!!!

    @El Hueso . Yes the plan is to make a panard somehow as it won't be a K-link setup. Might be a vintage looking watt-link in the rear. The springs for the rear are also going to be torsion bars.
    As I said in the first post I'll start from the very beginning so here we go :)

    Sorry guys, been a lot lately.
    After the boxplates where made I weld them on to the rails in the jig and then remove it just to grind them on the bench.

    any thing you build we are happy to follow along. Your work is amongst the best I've ever seen.
    Traditional or not, I knew it would be 'interesting and inspiring ' just from following your thread on your coupe.
    I scrolled down to the first pic on your first post and I am already impressed !

    I'm with Clem
    This build is one of a couple here that represents using their best skills as well as quality materials. Not something you can always say about our historically "traditional" cars.
    Nor can it be said of some of the other current builds going on.
    Do I absolutely love them; yes, most of them, but this build is of a totally different "ilk".
    For the life of me I can't fathom someone thinking this build is not HAMB worthy.

    @gnichols Front member is on its way =) , I'm not completely done with the hole frontend but hopefully it ain't that far away . I know it´s a fishy name, isn't it great ;)

    Here is my granddad´s old mini break, he had a metal shop around 1950 to 1971 . He gave it to me in the 90th´s after I found it in his basement. I use it extremely much when working on chassis. Everyone should have one.

    Rear member , when I started with it I had a Currie 9" , later I has to change the midsection on it to clear the new V8 Quick Change.

    They are possible to buy new , google "Flat Bar Bender" . There is a lot of manufactures .
     
  29. Crazy good build! Hopefully I'll pick up some ideas along with your tips and tricks. (Maybe even some SKILL?) Very inspiring.

  30. What process do you use to grind your welds? In particular, where you welded in the boxing plates on the frame. You can't hardly tell that it was welded.
