G'day fellas, Just a quick question for you guys, I'm in the process of setting up a dual master cylinder on my 49 Buick, its a wilwood tandem item the same as this. I think I have settled on its final position, which is located above the old original stock item, but to clear all the gearbox and clutch linkages it had to be kicked up on a slight angle. So what I'm try to say is it ok to have the master cylinder on a slight angle? Cheers Darren
It won't affect the working of the cylinder. Many cars have the master cylinder at an angle. It may make it more difficult to bleed out air, which is why we bench bleed them. If the angle is real sharp you may need a remote fluid reservoir but a slight angle is not a problem.
Some factory masters are a good inch difference from front to rear. As long as the fluid can stay covering the exit ports, it wont be an issue.
Your limits are going to be set by the fluid level and amount of fluid it will hold. Obviously the more off level - the less fluid it can hold
