I'm in the market for a master cylinder/ booster for my f-1. I have discs on the front and drums on the rear. I thought I could save some $$ by buying a replacement m/c & booster at Autozone or some place.

What is a 70's or so vehicle that had discs on the front? How about a 78 Malibu or Camaro or something? My truck had some sort of GM m/c on it previously so I'd like to go back that way and avoid filling any more holes. Thanks

I used a booster & proportioning valve off a astro van on my 61 Chev truck, orig tried one from a full size 90 model but the booster was too big and it would hit the hood framing. I ended up using the MC from the 90 set up since the astro was stepped.

The 4 hole firewall support spacing is 3.5" if i remember correctly. The mounting for the FS truck was the same. One thing about the truck boosters vs. the malibu etc is they dont have the angled mounting brkt.
