1955 Chevrolet C3100. Inserting Firebird subframe. Trying to decide whether to go with a booster and master cylinder on the firewall or on the frame. Any advantages or disadvantages? How much of a headache will it be to upgrade the linkage to the firewall and find mounting points for the booster if I do go that way? Any thoughts from members with experience in either setup for this model? Thanks!

If you mount it under the floor it cleans up the fire wall if you mount it on the fire wall it clears up the floor board inside the cab.

  6. With the good old SM420, I'd keep the pedals and mount it under the floor.

If I later switch to an automatic, will I have any clearance issues?

Shouldn't have any clearance issues. I kept the original pedals and used the No-Limit Engineering kit in my 56. I have a 700R4 in the truck.
