History "Mature" H.A.M.B. Folks

65 years young.....feel like I'm in high school....where are all the chicks though....ha ha ha

 

Leap year baby?????....so it my Mom.... She turned 21....

 

83 a couple of weeks ago.

 

At 80, Mayo Clinic is NO place to meet chicks !!!!

 

I've been called a lot of things but never Mature

 

I will be turning 82 in a couple of months and probably on my last two projects, if I decide to keep them. A lot of the friends who I have been traveling with over the past 30 years have either passed away or decided to stop hot rodding. It has been a great hobby and I got to meet people all over the US, from coast to coast but my travels are becoming more and more limited and the move to include post 48 cars or opening up shows to anybody has significantly reduced my interest in attending. Plus, I really don't have anyone in my family interested in the stuff in my shop.

It has been a fantastic ride but almost over now.

 

I'll be 68 in two weeks, hope I didn't post in this thread a couple years ago. I forget? I made a deal to buy my friends S&W FED last fall but we have both been busy, so haven't had time to dig it out of his barn yet. It was built in 2000-2002 and certified then. Talked to S&W and they said it should be no problem passing now. All new rubber and safety stuff of course. Still hoping to join the 200MPH Club.

 

Turned 70 on post 145, pg 5. Still here, going on 78. Thank you, Lord!

I'm in my late 40's... my very late 40's, I'm 64.
got laid off a year ago, and realized I will take home more money on social security and my 2 pensions than what anyone wants to pay an old fart so I retired.

....Getting old is tough, but the best feeling in the world (maybe 2nd best) is when they pay you not to go to work.
