My guess would be availability, and power. Try finding a six deuce intake for a 425 olds. Im sure the tunnel ram will make more power anyway.

muscle car guy... what can i say. I love seeing old hotrods and sleepers romp on new EFI engines in "muscle cars". I got a Camaro too but its my dd, so i dont really fall into the muscle car guy mold.

  6. No doubt, think about how many tunnel rams are floating around from old speed boats...I dunno that I've ever even heard of a 6x2 set-up for a 400-455 c.i. Olds?

There is an update. We're going to start working on Maximum Evil again, and it's been SOLD. The new owner is a newer HAMBer with a handle of Dogeza. Welcome him to the board! He can't wait to get it going again, and is talking about it being at the Pile Up next year as a driver!

Hardly, we run C23 for fuel, spray about 600hp on a single stage fogger.Motor, a 527 donovan with 11 degree m***aged heads makes 1053hp on nuts.Single 4 barrel on a cast intake. Dont know if you ever looked at Tim McAmis race car web site, but he has a cool calculator for speed, hp, weight, etc. Its actually quite accurate in its results. In your case, plug in weight, hp, and it'll give you ET. Any one is a variable.Good luck.Happy new year.

  15. Still sticking with the 425 Olds I hope!

    Yep. And the stick!

Greg32, so, what you're saying is you'll take your full on race car that's got a 600 shot of laughing gas on top of the motors regular horsepower and take this car on? Hmmmmm, let me see............ Ok, if you take out the bottle of gas, and detune the car so it runs on 93 octane, sure. We'll be more than happy to race you.

Now, if that's not cool, then I propose we make it fare. Your camero against the Chrome Czar. 401 Nailhead, Hilborn, running on alcohol. That way it'll be race fuel against race fuel, dragster against dragster. And we'll just call it even between the N.O.S. and the slingshot frame. :D

We're starting to work it back into the schedule. The entire drivers side is not free from bullet holes, and the shop is finished on that side. The drivers door is next. Once we have space back out on the main shop floor, we'll get the steering in and the cage finished up. I hadn't posted any new photographs yet because I figured you guys have seen enough chop threads on Model T's. ;)
