We're getting ready for Maxton in April and need to find a VR/ZR rated 31" tall tire that we can run on a 15" wheel. Does anyone make a tire that will fit our needs? I'm trying to get a speed rating on Hoosier Quick Time Pro DOT tires - no luck so far...any leads will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

Might be a tough if not impossible find in a production type replacement tire. Best we could do 3 or 4 years ago were Firestone "pursuit" tires at about 28" made for the older Crown Vic patrol cars with 15" wheels. Pretty much a special order item back then as well, non stocked by local dealers.

Might want to ask the question over on the www.Landracing.com forums. someone over there might have more up to date info than I or other suggestions.

Hope to see you having fun at Maxton.

try looking at some goodyear nascar speedway tires. they mount on 15 inch rims . they will allow you to run what ever speed your car can run. let me know if you need a supplier

    Geez,

My experience is no speed rated 15" tires. Get 17" wheels.

Nascar goodyears? maybe. Go to landracing.com or ECTA website - get ahold of Keith T.

    Have fun!

I don't think you'll get a speed rating from Hoosier, or for a T/A Drag radial or similar tire. Best to ask Keith Turk or Joe Timney directly if these tires are accepted for the speed you're trying to run. I don't think you'll find a performance radial that tall. Can you change final drive to match up with a shorter tire? PM me if you need ECTA contact info. vic
