I was thinking about going down to the Maxton Mile this year. Bonneville is still a little too far for me right now, so I thought I would try this first. I noticed on their website that they race several times a year. When is the best time to go? Is there one event better to hit than the other?
The April event is the Hot Rod Mag Top Speed Challenge. I understand that there are more cars that show up at this race than at the others during the year. The last race of the year is a motorcycle specialty event. I'm flying out from CA for April, been wanting to check the place out. DW
Me and a bunch of guys have been thinkin about goin down from Maryland, and I was wondering the same thing(when to go). Sounds like a great place and a good time!!!!
Dan, Look us up , might even buy dinner one evening. This will be the last run for our old engine before USFRA in September . We have a new engine for the salt this year. Record is so close but yet so far away. ( 5mph)
Okay....we're makin plans now. April it is. Looks like we'll be campin' (if that's what you call stayin' in a motorhome). Lookin forward to gettin there!!!!
What are the dates, I've been itching for a few years now to go... I would love to donate some time if anybody going down is interested in a extra set of hands....
