Found this on another board. A local TV station did a piece on the last Maxton meet including lipstick camera footage of a roadster at speed on the course, and video of the guy (who I heard works at DEI) going over 250 MPH on his turbo'd street ridden Hayabusa MC. It's a 5 minute plus video. You better have broadband or DSL. http://tinyurl.com/77q6m
i didnt watch the vidio, but i race at maxton, the bud busa is owned by the head fabricator at dei for sure, which roadster was it? green one or a primer black one with a flat motor?randy
Thanks for posting that link! I'm on "The List" but couldn't get the connection to work from it. Got to get to Maxton, sure is closer than Bonneville.
anybody that's actually driven a geo metro KNOWS that indeed, 125 is damn fast in a geo! i wadded one up at 50 and it was wasted. any sportbikers...how does the bike used here to go 256 compare to the bike supposedly clocked at 205 in minnesota some time back? curious cause everybody was so set on saying that bikc couldn't do 205 falling off a cliff. yes i saw that the hayabusa was turbo'd.
The roadster they showed with the on car camera was kind of flat black color (but not that "flat") with what looked like an extended front end/hood. They didn't interview the owner, or mention what it had for a powerplant. It did use a parachute to slow down (they show it deploying at speed)
everybody uses a chute at maxton, its the rule! if the chute comes out, they know all is well.if the chute don't come out,all the rescue trucks are rolling! on the busa's.there are lots of non turbo buse's that run 195-210 everyday at maxton..those ****ers are fast! the bud bike is the worlds fastest street legal bike.the geo is a bad *** too,he runs it with or without a turbo.it ran 125 with the turbo, its street legal too. a real cool old guy owns and drives it.he has lots of records, with it and a porshe, and a vw truck. theres a ardun roadster that runs 185,and a roadster from fl.with a flatty that holds several records at 135. a twin engine harley shows up every so often too..its a great place, fun times! free camping at the track too.there is water and a portapottie or 2. come on down,we race next weekend! randy
Well once again the idiots that setup the video on the webpage don't have a clue how to do it so that everyone can see it!!! I waited for it to download, & when it plays all I get is a BLACK window (in the media player)!!! You would think folks would learn by now. And I'm using windoze 2000; ANYBODY should be able to make it play in that!!! ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver" America - made in China!
