Hello, I am continuing to sort through a herd of parts I have inherited. I am researching and combing old HAMB threads trying to identify before I resort to the oracle of knowledge. (HAMB members) Don't assume anything. Please correct me on any info because I am learning a whole new generation of parts. I uncovered this transmission I believe by old thread pics is a 37 Cadillac. It has a very cool shifter with a horizontal guide pin in the shifter housing tower. Spring loaded shell slides over with two bolt retainer. It has a aluminum adaptor that matches the trans bolt pattern. Can anyone shed some direction or light what it engine or bellhousing it might fit? There are no numbers or logos anywhere to cross reference. Thank you in advance.
Hello Sir, Could it also fit a Chevy 6 ? Or does it have to be a SBC? I know Dad raced a Wayne Chev in the 50's but I'm not familiar with bolt patterns or bellhousing interchanges. Thanks again.
anybody have a Lasalle to chevy adapter for sale ? or maybe for "rent" ? I have a bunch of Lasalle transmissions, and I'd like to put one behind a flathead ford. The flathead to lasalle bellhousings are pretty much unobtanium, so I'm thinking I can buy a flathead to chevy bellhousing new, and the make a lasalle to chevy adapter to get the rest of the way
Just some info maybe it might help? https://fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=248608&showall=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/CbEYbumLRo4/

Have you thought about using a 50 olds bell? you would then just have to make an adapter plate from flathead to olds. The lasalle will bolt right up to the 50 olds bell.
