    Hi guys so I dug up this adapter to put the redram in the coupe . Well it's not hemi dodge and for years I thought it was . So what is this adapter for ?it was made back the McBar machine shop puru Indiana . Thank you John

    I'm reaching a bit, but I think it fits an early Chrysler with the long bell.
    Your adapter bolts to the extended bell but protrudes into the bell towards the crankshaft flange.
    At one time someone had posted a McBar catalog on this site.

    I agree with 42 Merc.... It is long bell Chrysler to early Ford ('32/'48 pass and a bit later truck). See 73RR or TRWaters here on the HAMB for a suitable adapter for your Dodge. The adapter you have is saleable....somebody will need it.

    Yup, Ray nailed it. It is what I would call a generic '39 Ford style box for 51-53 331. There should be a buyer for it.

    You guys are great thanks do much . I had it marked for hemi and with my redram pile. That's not going to work for me so going to toss it in the ads. Thank you and owe ya a beer or coffee
