I just picked up a Mcculloch supercharger for my 27 chrysler. I have a 318 poly motor in it and am wondering about the carburetion i will need. i was hoping to run a 51 Merc carb would this be possible or do i need to make a turkey pan, or can i do something to the carb to make it work???
Its simple, really. Get a decent Holley 650 mechanical secondary four barrel, you will need it. I heard Carter/Edelbrock carbs can be made to work too. Next, you'll need to make/fab a carb hat to get the air into the carb, and then make sure the air doesn't sneak out through choke rod p***ageways or throttle shafts.
That's a teapot, AKA a Towering Inferno. Throw it as hard as you can against the nearest brick wall! Then go find a good four barrel and build, yes, a turkey roaster around it. Remember that your fuel pump has to put out more pressure to overcome the blower boost.
We used to pressurize the carb as mentioned above. Used a second fuel pump when in boost mode. They work quite well.
