That is great! Well deserved honor, Jeff is a very nice guy, never met Dennis, but I am sure he is a great guy as well. Their cars however are incredible and it makes me very excited to see that the fruits of their labor and love are getting them some well deserved respect.. Congrats!

Thanks guys, It is an honor, just having my name thought of , hard shoes to follow. it's crazy growing up watching all these guys and thinking someday I'm going to drive a kool car. And now I'm building kool cars and living the life, it makes all the long hard hours, a little less tough. And to my Brother Dennis, you have inspired more then you will ever realize !

Well deserved, Dennis and Jeff...you guys should be in there. You both have made important contributions to the kustom car hobby, and you shouldn't have to be really old or dead to be inducted into the KKOA hall of fame.

    Oh yeah, ahem...McPhail sucks. :)

    I've heard this comment made over the years;

"I know that Jeff should be in the Hall of Fame because he builds some kool kustoms but
Why McPhail? What has he done for Kustom Kemps of America?" It is a good question.

The reason McPhail is a candidate for the HOF is he has inspired a lot of people (pre 60
years of age) into kustoms & Hot Rods. They're a lot of younger guys that don't get the
bubble gum 50's, the poodle skirts, fuzzy dice, Doo Woop etc., (because we were not
around back in the 50's.) McPhail has introduced "kustoms" to this younger generation,
this is vital to the future growth of Kustoms and to Kustom Kemps of America. I hear every
year at Salina, "they didn't do that in the 50's" I answer the comment; they would have
if they thought of it. We are in the middle of a Kustom and Hot Rod boom and I feel like
Dennis played a role why Kustoms have had a rebound. By example; his art and his kustoms
that he drives. Without him I don't know where KKOA would stand with the younger
generation today. KKOA would probably be more like a NSRA event.

Another reason; Dennis is one of the best Kustom kulture artists today. If you hadn't bought
his new “kustom” posters, you should. You will be amazed with his dedication and his passion
for kustoms. Dennis has motivated guys into the art side of our hobby. This is also
    important for KKOA’s growth.

They're a lot of guys that should be in the Hall of Fame and some that probably shouldn’t.
It will always be that way.....It is kool to know that Jeff and Dennis will be there some day.

    Happy Trails, Mick

VERY WELL said Mick, you get IT, I don't think I've been in a garage or shop or living room that doesn't have his art in it, and I have my walls papered with it ! one of his early ones, KUSTOM CITY, was just about the history of wichita and that style and some of the cars that had gotten magizine ink over the years, pretty impressive number of cars for the midwest, more then any other city( shy of la of corse). that one poster hangs is more young guys shops then any other, I am floored to go to new york and see one , and then to some random shop in california and see one, I travel more then most guy have the chance to and I see this, and i understand it, but maybe thats why alot of the kkoa HOF members don't understand, they can't or dont travel as much. And would any one of them just search out a shop like the jimenez bros. in outter riverside, ca and just drop by to see whats up, we do ! How many have been to mastersons shop down deep in compton HELL, yes it's scarry, but thats part of the fun, I'm proud to say I've stollen newspapers outta the boxes in compton, lynwood area at 3 am! to mask off a car in masterson's shop to spray paint in the very confines that many have before me,.... jeffreys, von dutch, barris, it was a surreal experiance I will never forget. ! and there sat dennis slinging paint in the middle of the shop making a trophie to be givin away athe grand national roadster show!! THAT IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT !!! get out of your state and experiance stuff, make memories, and history. Where we the first guys to do this, ? NO but we are about the youngest ones doing it, and we aint no spring chickens !
