First off, I'm still just saying, WOW . What an experience ! I first left ark city on thursday in the caddy with intentions of going out early to prep the cars, and to shoot some paint for masterson kustoms. I got to the other side of albaquerque, and I -40 was closed, I stayed the night, talked with truckers and they said you are screwed for a couple days, which sent me tailspinning into a panic attack! SO My only option was hang out a couple days or turn back, so i high tailed it home, I was rapidly coming down with something and just wanted my bed ,and some good flu meds. So on sunday Dennis comes over and demands I get in the car, thanks man, i wouldn't have wanted to miss this, I felt bad for not haveing the cad there but I still had two cars I painted in the show. I was blown away by this show, and the whole week ruled. I sprayed paint in the old Barris bldg. stole newspapers to mask it off, walked to streets and alleys at night, went up on signal hill, down mullhulland dr. and all around hollywood. it was great, I saw old friends, met some new ones, and had a great time. did I mention I went thru compton, saw watts, and wanted to go shopping at the compton fashion mall, but ran out of time. see you all next year, who know's maybe even have some new cars done so we can take them to the gnrs. Oh and dennis got first in full kustom and Ian placed in his class too, not bad for a first time out.
I was looking for pictures of the Caddy at the GNRS and was wondering what happened. Thanks for posting the report. You drive all the way out to Albuquerque in the '57 Caddy then you turn around and head back home. Wait a couple of days, then ride back out in the '60. Nothing kooler then Kustoms on the open road. The new paint is looking good. What did you do to the tail lights? Happy Trails, Mick
So glad Dennis got you out of the house homie!!!!!!! Cant wait to hang out again!!!! hopefully in march right???
