Oh wait, I ment to say McPhail shift knob with a Lokar up it's bum. People said it could not be done, people said it was a waste of time, but I have made my McPhail shift knob work on my Lokar (yeah, I know...big deal [IMG]) shifter in the so called "Tiki 32." He has a ****on through his noggin and complains about head pain but TIKI JOE the shift knob is happy in his new home. He even has a Moon surf board mirror to use when he feels the need to hit the Texas oil pipeline. Denis, thanks for making such a cool shif knob for the m*** *****s like myself dude!

TIKI JOE says this is his good side and that he looks good in gold and pearl white...

Nope, no repaint..although I did have to match the paint and fix a spot the drill nailed as it came out the top of Tiki Joes head. I have wanted one of those knobs in my car since I first saw them and I finally picked one up at the Ft. Worth Goodguys from Richards. You rock man! By the way, my old man still has his hub cap you did for him hanging in a primo spot in his garage right next to his giant Mobil sign and all his other old antique signs...it was the one with the wolf and the Westergard style ride you did on a disc off the Moon trailer in Arkansas at Hanging Dice a million years ago.

Drilled him out all the way from top to bottom and threaded the bottom to get him on the shifter. Took a rod that was threaded on both ends that was laying around and cut it down to fit in the hole so you can click it down to press the cable and my dad found a nut from his Harley custom bike building days to put on the still threaded end to finish it off (the other end was cut off to get the thing to the right size). Any of that make sense?

  9. Very cool man. The possibilities are endless now that i think about it.

I always hated those locar shifters just because of the stupid ****on. But now I'm thinking a dagger in the head for me.

Yeah, I hated Lokar also until the need for one became obvious for me. The scene, in my dad's 32 roadster he just bought to turn and make some $$$. The place, LBJ Freeway. The event, my numnut buddy shifts his position in the car and knocks the Gennie type shifter out of first into reverse...fear, noise, a quick shift...everything was okay but it scared the hell out of me so I figured a shifter with a ****on that cant be knocked out of gear as easy in a small car might be a good idea.

BTW, what the hell is that Lokar shift knob supposed to be..a skull? Who the hell would design something that weak in todays world? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

If I ran such a company I would hire a McPhail or someone like him known for his work and having his pulse on the hot rod art world...but I guess thats why I am one of the m***es.

When I saw that POS billet thing that lokar makes the first time, I knew Ihad just saw the saddest attempt that has ever been made and will ever be made at a skull shift knob....and the damn thing is tiny too. I never really did like lokars stuff but that is just plain rediculous, i've shat things that look more like a skull then that!
