I'd leave the headlights, but if you really want to chage them, I would go with the 65 Imperial lights. I have a couple pairs I have squirreled away for future projects. 'bout time you did something with the ol stude!
Interesting how the square lights let you see the square people... I'm digging' the hell out of the shapes you got going on with that rod, and the antenna out the tail light is just bitchin'. Rock on you Kansas kooks!
It's all the rage, before long weesner will be using square headlights in his paintings, and then you guys wont be laughing, mark my words.....come on keith show 'em how kool it is too be square.! LOL
You could always tell people they are frenched and molded '39 Plymouth headlights. Just kiddin' ya, Jeff! LOL!
I like the 3/16 th's rod shape on the front of the bed and it looks like you are still in your antenna phase . Dennis will need to wear his foil hat to deflect all the stuff his truck will be tuning in.
The louvered Hood is leaving soon.....I'm deleting louvers for a scoop, and not the above the hood kind. Jeff promises the 58 will make it to Austin, although as busy as the both of us have been, it'll probably be featuring spotty primer and raw welds.......Drive em as you build 'em........
Oh my, i just noticed the antenna exiting from the tail light! Pure genius. And it looks soo neat. This truck wil really be something
If I have my way I was going to put lil antennas everywhere, out the scoops, create scoops just for antennas, you will just have to watch and see, can't give up all the ideas.
Rad! McPhail, I hope you still do a Plymouth! Finkd, you do great work, cool shit there. I gotta see this dash everyone is asking about.
I saw your Stude pickup years ago for the first time before I had met you (Lincoln Ne. Americruise I think) . Looked it over and thought someone gets it, then looked inside at the dash and thought it was one of the coolest cars on the planet. Still one of my favorite customs and customizers. Mcphails truck is gonna be Rad. Gary
I'll have to pay attention to this one. Props for thinking out of the box. And it seems like you can not stand having things very square. Everything have to be round and must flow with something else?
Jeff's Stude has the koolest interior that I've ever seen. If you hadn't seen it yet, you need to. I've tried taking pictures of it before and it doesn't do it justice. Looking forward to seeing the truck finished. He has some kool ideas but God only knows what it will finally look like. Couple of months ago I was at Jeff's shop when Voodoo Jim and McPhail was there. It was like listening to a Stevie Ray Vaughn guitar solo. I could not believe all of the kool ideas that were being thrown out. The suggestions kept going and going and every idea was kool. It was a day that I'll never forget. Maybe I should get a life? LOL!! Myers doesn't fake kool. He is always willing to take risk and not just building the same thing again and again. That hard to do.. Happy Trails, Mick
i just got home from workin on it. ground a mile of welds down and cut metal today. jeff welded a little bit between his dayjob work. my hands are worn out from my day job and stayin up late on some special art projects........ we got alot goin on for Texas....... a big bomb, colored pencils and 56 chevrolet skirts..............that's what's been on my mind..........stay tuned
Nope, I will never forget driving the roadster p/u to Wellington, KS for the "Open house" and it was VERY COOL and I bought a couple of "prints" from Dennis and he signed them and asked how we were going to get them back to Kansas City (4 hours away) and I told him that I was going to put them under the seat in the rain.......he went out of his way to get us some "trash bags" to put them in and protect them........and I think that someone else who lived in KC at the time didn't drive down there that "rain" day......it was a day that I will remember while driving down the road in a roadster p/u with my pops. Chris
Can't wait to see this truck, these two gentlemen working together equals a bad ass ride. I dig the square lights on the Stude, as square as the grille and front end looks it works well and is different, and different is what hot rodding and customs has always been about. Dennis, I'm hoping to hit you up soon for some new hot rod inspired ink.
I was just thinkin about how much of a pain in the ass would be groundin all those bed crown line welds.... Can we see a shot of the interior of the Stude?? Pleaze!
