Ok, so, since I'm not building anything of my own... I thought the least I could do was post some pics of my buddy and fellow Flyer's member, Me-Oh's new Av8 he's working on for the Jalopy Showdown... with being 1.5 weeks away, he has a little to do yet, but it's looking good... thought you all might like a look-see... #44, SuhrSc's roadster can be seen in the background... cheers!
38 Lincoln Zephyr...look similar to 40-41 LZ, but much bigger because they go on wide five wheels. Car is looking good! Keep those progress pics coming. Neal
me too!! the car is coming along pretty well and seems to be on track aside from any unforseen problems... i cut it close with my car 2 years ago finishing it RIGHT before the show hopefully he can keep up the pace on this... still 9 days left....lots of time!!
Roadster looks great.....I'll see it in person on Friday the 18thwhen I arrive in Harrisburg......if it still needs some thrashin, I'm bringing work clothes! See you then! Brucie
Thanks everyone, I've been bustin my ass the past two weeks trying to get this thing ready! A few more late nites, some time off work, and I should be in good shape. Still to early to call it though. Keep praying to the roadster gods to make it happen. Brucie, hopefully it doesn't come to that, but it's a good idea, might be putting the last coat of paint on it! See you Friday Thanks Andy for posting.
Thought I would do an update, I got my steering taken care of tightened everything up slid the column painted and in and installed the wheel. Zach stoped up and lent a hand(thanks), I don't usually work well with others but with the time crunch it's nice to have some help. Also thanks to Steve for stopping up last weekend and sanding some filler. I had ordered some door sill plates the peice that continues the body line under the door from Brookville after last Hershey show, never really looked at them but now it's time to put them on and I got n the box and there are two rights, not a right and a left. So hopefully when I call them tomorrow they can ship me the left and take back the right in time, we'll see. Here are some color pictures that I had just red primer now, gloss black soon!
Man - I feel like were building sister cars. Looks great dude - keep it up. I love the wide fives too!! Mike
haha, sweet man, I'll be stopping by after I get back from PSU this weekend... keep her moving, I can't wait to follow those roadsters into the show!
Well it's Tuesday night and I just got back from the garage, thought I would do an update. I got the body mounts made and installed, got the doors on and lined up, but I will not have enough time to body work them before the show, oh well, I worked on the exhaust tonite and got most of it done just have to make rear hangers and get them strightend out, I think they turned out pretty cool. I didn't get the left sill plate from Brookville yet but it should be on it's way. So I think that I should be in good shape for the show as long as no big problems show up, cross your fingers! Alot of work to do yet Here are som pictures of the exhaust.
If anyone thinks this looks good, you should have heard it fire up last night! those pipes are nasty... in the best way possible... can't wait til tomorrow morning
I got to run it for the first time last night, sounds pretty good and makes good oil pressure so I'm happy about that. Not to happy about the rain, not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I got the car painted last night with a brush, didn't get home till 2:00 in the morn, but it's black now! Numbers soon if the paints dry. Roy stopped up in his roadster that he drove in from Indy. it was nice meeting him and checking out his car. Here are some pics pre paint. If I can figure it out maybe I'll put up a video later.
