I have a teather car with MEADOR inscribed in the inside alumnium casting See enlarged photos. I cant find any information on that car please help if you even know who Meador is...HEMI32 had a post with his name I hope he will get back to me...Thank you Leo in NM comway@zianet.com If I am still on the wrong place, please tell me how to get to the model section for listings. I could not find that specific place...
Leo (winchester) ... PM sent. Sorry ... the "Meadors" I eluded to in my post is not the name inscribed in your teardrop tether car ... the "Meadors" I was referring to in the "Vintage Tether Cars" thread was my father's friend Gary "Goodguy" Meadors ... Gary is the founder of the Goodguys Rod & Custom ***ociation (www.good-guys.com) ... and he has a small collection of tether cars ... but (to my knowledge) has never cast any reproduction parts or created any one-off tether cars with his name inscribed in the casting. As for the name in your castings, it appears to me that it is the name "Mesdor" ... not "Meador". Good luck finding out the origin of your teardrop tether car ... although the HAMB is probably not the best forum for this type of research, there are quite a lot of guys on this board that are very knowledgeable about the subject. <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->
Maybe this post or someone on this post can help you? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280837&highlight=hemmings+blog&showall=1 There was also a Hemmings blog (I think they talk about it in the post above) that turned up a lot of good info. Good luck, hope this helps!
