This is my official cry for help. I had a wheel bearing blow out and is welded to the spindle. I have a new spindle and hub, but I've been having no luck getting it off the old spindle due to inexperience and lack of confidence in what I'm doing. The way I see it; things that keep wheels on are fairly important to do properly. As of right now, all I need is the kingpin to be taken out and the spindle replaced / races pressed on the front left. It's a 1950 Ford shoebox. I have basic tools and the car is parked in my parking garage with the management threatening to tow it (understandably). If there is anyone willing to help in the Seattle area (capitol hill) I would be very happy. I'd like it if you could teach me how because I'll be doing the front right by myself I hope. The sooner the better. I'm willing to pay pretty good money. Not sure what that is exactly. I'm thinking $150? Thank you very very very very much!
Bump. My Uncle gets old races off by welding a few beads on them (outside of course). I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but he's a pretty handy guy, so I believe it.
I live in the capital hill area and can help you with your project if your still needing help or if you have any other questions just ask
