Hello all..I'm trying to figure out how to make a mount for the mechanical brake switch I'm installing. The switch has an adjustable arm on it. I have a '52 ford sedan and my pedal hang. Anything will especially pictures. Thank you.

You need a positive stop of some sort to actuate the light. I've seen blocks screwed onto the firewall that worked well. You may have to make it up in a couple of pieces if the reach is long, thinking about angle iron.

I have used that switch a few times on cars with floor mounted pedals and they work great for that. On my 55 I used a*****on style switch which seemed more appropriate for a firewall mounted brake pedal.

Nice pics..is the*****on style reliable? You mounted the switch on the front side of the brake pedal? Do you remember the part number for the switch?

The one I used like that is from Autozone part # DR 496VC $7.99. Over the years guys have fabricated up their own brackets and posted pictures of them. These switches are a lot more reliable that the old Ford style that screwed into the master.

I also Made mounting plate like paul2748. Easy install and super easy adjustable. Plenty room under brake pedal bracket

Be careful not to overtighten those 2 nuts if your switch has the plastic housing like Paul's (and mine). the thin walled threaded housing will break if you overtighten....ask me how I know.

The*****on type I used when I converted my '65 Belair over to a dual master with a power booster. For a stop, I used a piece of oak floor board.. lol.
