Hello Hambers. I judt wanted to give a heads up Warning about a problem i ran into . My other post had me towed by AAA . Turned out i had a worn or broken br*** tip fuel rod . Repaired it & was out cruising for about 5 miles & engine died yet again & another AAA tow on Christmas . I did troubleshooting & my cause of failure this time was the EDELBROCK 1721 LOOKALIKE MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP sold by Jegs ( picture of black pump ) . The Edelbrock 1721 was discontinued & NO rebuild seal kit avaiable so i bought the jegs ( because it clockable like the 1721) . Ran good for a while but the actuatiion arm for the plunger/ diaphram broke . There are reviews of this happening to other people also . I recently found that Edlebrock has brought the 1721 back & i will be buying one ( sure it works the same as the Jegs but hope better quality) . So if your looking to save $$$ by going the Jegs lookalike 1721 , remember i warned ya .
