I'll save y'all some scrolling time, here's HAMB friendly lots from this year's Mecum Houston auction: https://www.mecum.com/lots/1116715/1961-studebaker-hawk-coupe/?aa_id=579304-0 https://www.mecum.com/lots/1116983/1941-buick-business-coupe/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/1117096/1964-chevrolet-impala-ss/?aa_id=582576-0 https://www.mecum.com/lots/1116750/1955-oldsmobile-rocket-88/?aa_id=579302-0 https://www.mecum.com/lots/1115175/1929-ford-model-a-roadster/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/1113438/1936-ford-5-window-coupe/?aa_id=577417-0 https://www.mecum.com/lots/1116220/1934-ford-deluxe-roadster/?aa_id=574581-0 https://www.mecum.com/lots/1115573/1932-ford-tudor-sedan/?aa_id=571019-0 https://www.mecum.com/lots/1117462/1954-chevrolet-bel-air-custom/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/1117611/1955-chevrolet-bel-air-wagon/ https://www.mecum.com/lots/1118057/1957-ford-ranchero-custom-pickup/?aa_id=582669-0 Yes, very sad that of 1,000 cars claimed to be consigned, that I could find only 11 that are period-esque hot rods or customs. If anyone want to know sale prices and doesn't want to have to signup with Mecum, shoot me a PM or tag me here and I'll check for you. Not a bidder at this event, but I can still see what they bring.
If you build your own stuff, never attend an auction or watch them on TV. There are better cars than I can build going for 1/4 the cost to build them.l jack vines
