I've used Master Blasters in Hillyard alot, in fact I just picked up some stuff there yesterday. Tinbender sends all his clients and students their way. My dad had a car blasted at Spokane Soda Works, since we only needed the paint taken off. It turned out nice, just as advertised. I guess it depends on what you need done.

sweet, I,ve heard of masterblasters but have not been in there yet. i need the whole shebang, cab in and out, grill, bed, fenders, 4 piece hood, running boards. All pieces will be completley taken apart.

Does any one have a guess what a fair price might be?

    I will call them.

    Thanks
    guys

I think they charge $800-$1000 for a whole car, frame and all. It's been awhile since I've had that done, but I think that's what Tinbender said was the going rate. I had the tailgate for my wagon done along with two big pieces that I'm using to patch rust and it was $30. They had it done in a few days.

Oh, and just a warning, some of the people that work there are weird, but I guess that's what you get when you pay someone minimum wage to shoot sand at rusty metal. Just don't be scared away by their weirdness, the owner's Ok and they're a good business to deal with.

Now I have to finish up my p***enger side rocker and get the parts off to masterblasters.

  9. Depending on what is on the car now, you can save some cash by chemically stripping it first. When I have a car done, I'll have them plastic blast it first, then call me to look at it. Then I tell them just where I want them to use hard media (green sand) for the rust removal.

My dad used a place in the valley, I think it's called Valley Gl*** or Vera Gl***. It's in Veradale. Tim Stomberger recommended them. I have gotten gl*** from Old Beet on here, he's on the other side of the state, but he does a hell of a job on cutting gl***. Everyone who's looked at his stuff has been impressed.

Thanks Wayfarer, I just pm'd Old Beet. I'd rather toss a hamber some business before going to a local shop, and the distance isn't a big deal.
