Anyone have any shops to recommend? I know of a shop in Escondido (name is slipping me right now) that quoted me a price of around $500 for my Roadster body... but I just wanted to see if that's around a standard price.

I'd rather have media or soda blasting, but I know soda blasting is quite pricey. The sand can heat up and warp old/thin sheet metal.

    Thanks...Josh.

Yeah man. I can't say enough good things about RW Little. Top notch, professional, quick turn-around and good prices.

I will be having an A Roadster body done... so I'm kinda nervous about the price. I could just take the DA to it and then put some Eastwood/Por15 to the insides... but I want to build this one as best as I can.

  7. That's a decent price.. my tudor body was 800 here on the east coast..

I get her blasted if you can aford it.. your going to bust your ass with the DA and not get in the pits.. you also run the risk of damaging the metal (although unlikely) if your not careful. by the time you add up your materials and the price of POR you wont be saving much at that price... Also remember that POR does not easily so it's harder to go back and do it right..

  8. ALSO -
good blasters will use plastic media everywhere possible and a little bit of agressive material such as AL oxide where there is heavy pitting or rust... That way they avoid warping and excesive material removal.

There is a big difference between people who specialize in old tin and those who do garbage trucks and lawn furniture... be careful!
