Meet my 1949 buick roadmaster "Charlotte"

    When I was a young kid....the next door neighbor had one that looked like yours...I could always tell it was him coming home or going out....those original buicks have a distinct sound.

    Having a fleetline....I do love the style of yours.

    Yeah...when I was going to high school, sometimes I'd wait for the bus and when it was foggy, I could hear the neighbor coming for a mile in his 52 Buick sedan...nobody else's car sounded like that! Sounded like the car was "moaning".

    Throw in a windshield and a cooler in the trunk and drive her home to Flint MI. Back to the brick is in August, we had a turn out of around 25,000 cars this year. Hopefully i will get my POS down there in 2013. Looks Good! Dont see many Jet backs unrestored.

    Until I saw your photo I had no idea that the rear fenders bolted on to those cars.
    There was one here in Joplin that I found a couple years ago and meant to ask about it but then the tornado came and I believe it got nailed. Yours is now one car more rare!
