Folks Of Interest Memorial Day

Beaner, I just read part of this thread, specifically your post. You must have served in SE Asia (VN ?). Thanks for your service and sacrifice and being nice to that family.
I have as friends a family from the San Jose , Ca area. They came to the US via a refugee or relocation camp. They were some of the last people removed from the embassy in Saigon. Before that the father served in the SVN Army for years. He and his wife came to the south after Ho Chj Min. became the leader in NVNam. They have done well. All the kids got a education in the US and all are doing well.
I too got the free graduation trip to a far eastern country with a tropical climate, got lucky and made it back ok.
