Lets not forget why this is a holiday, the country has recently lost some very fine Marines from Pendleton in helicopter accidents and that makes this a sad day for some new families. Semper Fi

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

Someone else said "this is a solemn day of remembrances". Can't agree more.

I thank the others that served before me as well as those during and after. We would not have this option and expression of freedom to do as we please ! Thanks again all whom have served.

image.jpg Returned from Memorial Services, but wanted to post a picture that define Memorial Day to me. There are men represented on this wall I served with (and one Nurse I knew), and I wish I could have another conversation with them. I hope I make them proud

My Uncles in Korea (Fathers Brother Joe was a Paratrooper Chaplin. Mothers Brother Ralph was a field artillery combat medic). Uncle Joe who has since p***ed parachuted into Uncle Ralph's camp to say M*** for the men.
Last year I had the privilege to ****** Uncle Ralph on an Honor Flight Mission for Veterans. It was a moving experience that neither of us will ever forget.
