Love the chop! Looks like there is plenty of room for a 4.3 V-6 or maybe a Grand National 3.8 intercooled turbo!

Cool...I like it. I've had a little gray '60 Minor and I dropped it and left it stock with the little 948 CC motor. My brother [Jangleguy here on the HAMB] went wild with his '61 Minor. 377 chevy SB and a powerglide...

Very Cool Moggy , better than my 64 I had a million years ago in the old country.
That will really scoot with the old A series engine Mine had a 1098 MG engine with twin SU's , Regal Blue Candy paint & slot mags, Ah the memories :) BTW I like the Minilites on it too.

  14. I had a few of these years ago. Putting a pair of SU's on it will liven it up. That's what i did with mine and also put a Sprite diff centre which from memory was a 4.22:1 ratio and that little car was good to cruise at 65-70 mph.
A 1275cc Sprite motor would certainly liven it up and with matching gearbox (ribbed housing - better ratios) will really improve this little car and will bolt straight in.

I see there has been some major surgery underneath including dispensing with the torsion bar front suspension. It appears the original uprights remain. Can you give a breakdown of the mods on this car ? Cheers.

Anytime I find another Morrie on here I feel obliged to join in. Great looking 'Low Mo' you have there. UK fuel $ are nuts, but any plans to put a few added horses to it? Saw the pic of underside. That frame looks sturdy enough to do any number of things to. Regardless, it's cool. Enjoy!

    That is totally Bad ***!

A 1500 MG or maybe a 1275 Sunbeam with dual side draft Weber's in front of a 5 speed would be awesome in that thing. Or maybe a 2.0 Pinto, Heck even a Cross Flow Kent motor

    Cool car...:)

I think I'd keep the engine, but do a DOHC BMW K series motorcycle cylinderhead swap on it.

Yeah, I guess its a really easy swap.

They sell kits to do it for $300/350 ( converted to $)

If I could get a DOHC for the small vintage Euro engines I like to play with, I'd be all over that... :)

Hey poprodder, you're not alone. After 2 years of people giving me the "is that a Bug" **** I finally lost it. This was a guy, at a car show, staring straight at the hood (bonnet) emblem with the baby bull and Morris insignia. After that, I made up 2 small stickers with the circle/slash and Bug (No Bug) and added them to my quarter windows. I keep a copy of this pic in Mo, for the next guy!
