merc door?

    Hi Sonny, We made the site but not without some heartache. The admin guy was great as he had to put up with us but he perserved and we are greatful, especially MOM. Surgery tomorrow and he is not looking forward to this a second time. Say hi to Gloria. Mrs Tinguy

    tinguy, Guess I didn't phrase my question correctly. There appears to be an "opening" right where the raised panel of the door and the "fade a way" sheet metal meet at the door edge. How will that " raised opening" be correted so it flows nice and smooth?

    If you look at the picture at the bottom you'll see its been "corrected".

    19fordy, if you mean in the dr jam. Cut off flange in raised area, fab new filler piece. Fit to new skin before mounting permanently. Essential to have all flanges fit flat and evenly against dr skin. if not you will end up with bumps or low places on dr edge. Properly done prep will negate the need for filler on any door panel installation. It is not nice to use mud on dr panels! Hope this helps. tinguy
