Hot Rods Merc-o-matic

I have a Merc-o-matic out of my '55 Mercury. I am replacing it with an AOd and I was wondering if it is worth anything or should i just scrap it. Anybody have any input?

 

If you are not too far from me I would come and get it out of your way,thinking about putting the original drivetrain back in my 55 Ford. I wont give much for one but could give you some beer for it.

 

Never throw anything old away. Somewhere, somebody needs it.

 

I had one, I think I sold it for like $20 or something, or I may have given it away, I don't recall. Either way, don't scrap it. You may get $7 at best for it at the scrap yard, and most likely burn that getting there depending on how far away it is. Id just trade it for some drinkable parts.

 

Well, you won't get rich or anything, but they're not exactly getting more common. Put it on CL and see where it goes.

Or you could mothball it and save it in case you ever want to put the old Ford back the way it was. Can't imagine that happening, but......

 

First year (I think) for the "stomp on it from a start and get low gear while in Dr". That might be worth something to 54 and earlier Merc owners. At least another 6 pak.
