I did a search and could not find anything that had the total answer. I am looking at swaping an mid 70's Mer cruiser 140 hp four cylinder into a 1952 CJ3A. The only problem is locating an intake and exhaust maniforld or header for this engine. The marine items will not work in an automobile. Any ***istance would be appreciated. Mike
Sounds like a cool little project, and there are a few guys using the mercuiser engine in there rigs, do a search and you'll find them. Also stop by the rules page and read up before the older members rip you appart for not posting an introduction and asking about a jeep swap on a hotrod site. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=256713&highlight=mercruiser http://www.jpmagazine.com/featuredvehicles/16578_1960_jeep_cj_5/index.html http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/mercruiser-4-cylinder-motors-cj-535376/ http://www.film.queensu.ca/cj3b/Tech/EngineSwaps.html
Yeah, that forst link Nailhead posted should give you most all the info you need. I followed it for awhile, and they covered pretty much all the issues for auto use. The intro is just part of the rules around here. Welcome.
