Does anyone out there have the specifications for an "EAC" ('53-'53) Mercury cam shaft? The "Tilden Cam Technologies" chart gives lifts of .307 and .337 respectively for "8BA" and "8CM" camshafts, and someone posted on "The Ford Barn" that an EAB cam was .330" lift. I have been quite satisfied with the performance of an "8CM" I'm currently running and wonder if the "EAC" might even be a little better.

Having bought, sold, traded over 50 flathead engines over a 60 year “fascinated love affair” I have HAD numerous cams with the 307 lift but have never heard or seen the cams u stated as being 337 lift. Going through my cams, I have 8BA, EAB, EA, 1CM and 8CM. I have not seen one stamped EAC.

Given the similarity between Ford's and Merc's of the era, perhaps the Merc's also use the "EAB" cam.

You don't have a lift figure for the "1CM", do you? Just curious.

Checked 2 cams, both were .329 lift.
