Years ago you could buy a round, red or black insert for 57 Cad hubcaps that had the classic Mercury god head in the center of it--a lot of guys had these instead of just using a chrome bullet like everybody does on Cad hubcaps. I don't know if they were metal or plastic Does anyone out there know where I could find 2 of them ?

This may sound a little off...

If you can not find originals you can always make temporary ones until you do
    1) find a hi resolution picture of what you want
    2) crop it to the right size
    3) make a round mold of the correct size for your hubcaps
    4) mix up some clear casting resin and fill the mold half way
    5) lay the picture in face down
    6) pour some more resin to cover it
    7) let it dry for three days

They make shift knobs the same way. I use castin crafts for my projects. Getting the mixture absolutely perfect is key for proper drying and bubble free pours.
