This is the official project that I'm working on over the winter. This will be the one I'll keep updated as I go.I'ts a 1964 mercury marauder" montclair trim level".Polar white with red interior.this particular model is a bench seat four speed model. They only made 6459 of these and of these only .9% were ordered with the four speed. The plans for this one is a frame up resto with a nostalgic A/fx drag look to it.Teardrop hood some sort of 427 ford engine and old school pie crust slicks on steelies with some dog dish hub caps. This is how I bought it mostly a project given up on long ago.The funny thing is for three years I looked for a four speed marauder all over the country and this one was less than a mile away.

Heres a shot of my 390 4V 63 Marauder. I got this car whilst on holiday in the US in 2004. Its in a amazing condition with not one spec of rust anywhere and a super straight body.[IMG]

Thats going to be a nice car.I also have a 63 s-55 convertible and thats how I was going to do that one also Tripower and those shorty cast iron headers.I think thats the best looking package. You will have to keep me updated on that one as you go.I'll look for some pics of it today and put it on. There a pretty rare car they only made 1,379 of the s-55 convertibles. You will have to keep me updated on your progress.

Thats a nice looking marauder. You dont see many that color. Most seem to be white with blue interior or tan with tan. Those torq thrust D's look great on there.

Strange. I grew up in Arvada, and two brothers that I went to school with had a car that looked just like this. I wonder if it's the same car? At that time, I think they lived west of Arvada HS (can't remember the exact street).

Dang, would love to join but my '69 Marauder X-100 isn't HAMB friendly. At least I can drool on my keyboard.

Love the stance and those 5spokes looks great on it. I think I'll go with original rims and dogdish, but if I want to update the brakes (probably) I'll get those rims. I will keep you updated but it's kinda slow right now, work will start in january. Here's some more shots. Previous owner wanted to have it in gasser style but I think it too big a car for gasser looks.

Where do you get the teardrop hoods for the Marauders? Does Crites make one or is it a make your own?

The hood is the crites 63-64 galaxie hood and instead of the chrome strip the galaxie has you put the backwards nose metal piece from your marauder hood on it with some bracing behind it for strength.Wish crites made fiberglass parts specific to the marauder but they dont.
