Mercury trim clips??

    Does anyone know where I can find 1 1/2" trim clips for a 53 Mercury; or at least a push in style clip that will work? Best I have found are bolt on style; they work on about half of the trim length but the other half are blind. Starting to think I should have welded up the holes while I had the chance before paint...
     
  2. You might try calling Auto-Vehicle Parts Co ,Cold Spg.Ky (Cincinnatti area,,,,)Ask them for nearest Distributor to you
    They only sell thru Distributors..They show two for the push in
    # 8400 and #8581.....One for the bolt on # 2752.....
    These folks have been making this stuiff since 1916 and were probably the original mfg for your cars clips....
    Most large Auto Upholstery supply houses carry this brand,,,

    Very cool. I see some viable options at restorationspecialties and I will give Mercuryland a call after Christmas.
