Hey everyone, I just wanted to make sure that I wished all of you a Merry Christmas. I have made some really great friendships here in our group, and I value all of the advice that I have gotten. It is really great to know that there are people like all of you out there (no I haven't been hittin' the egg nog). To all of our friends who practice a different religion, or those who subscribe to nothing in particular, have a safe and happy holiday season! Scott
Thanks, Scott...and thanks for all your input to this site. BTW: I just joined the HAMB Dog Lover's Social Group and saw that you and Cooper are there as well. That group needs more members, too! Merry Christmas from me and Memphis!
Happy Holidays to all you Members! How about sharing what Santa puts under the tree for those Fords! Maybe some $$ to start the New Year off right with the Social Group Tee-Shirt?
thanks Scott! here is a recipe for a great holiday drink; buy one gallon of chocolate milk... pour out two cups of the milk.... add back in one cup of pepperment Schnapps and one cup of Ameretto.... serve hot with whipped cream!!!! You'll be a hero!
merry christmas from mine to yours . ive only been in this group a short time and done some reading and like it . this area or group is not like the rest of the hamb. i realy was getting to not like the general area as they seem to be a little to rich for me and my kinda rods . im just a working cl*** guy trying to have some fun with my p***ion . ive got 3 fords and this group fits me good with my car . its a step above a rat rod . but i like them too . i like the pretty show cars but i cannot build one on my budget . i have felt like i fit in here . so once again have a merry christmas [ not x-mas ] i beleive in god . and a happy new years to all . no ive not been hitting any kind of mind altering substance . its my real thoughts .
You'll find just about everything on the HAMB, but Jeff deserves credit for forming the '52-'56 Ford Social Group with us common, do-it-ourselves guys in mind. Doesn't mean we exclude anybody, but our main goal is to help others with common interests. I, for one, appreciate Jeff's hard and diligent work at keeping this group well grounded.
Couldn't have said it better Eric... Jeff deserves a lot of credit for bringing together this bunch of great guys. I've made a lot of friends on here that I may never be able to meet but wish I could. Anyone try that drink mix yet?
Merry belated Christmas to all. I had to make a run to NC Thursday - Lansing to High Point in about 9 hours. Spent Christmas with mom (she's 90 and not much into travelling anymore), and got back home Saturday night, draggin' tail. The holiday traffic was not good thru the West Virginia mountains. WV and OH state's finest were showing little mercy to those having trouble reading the speed limit signs - that or they were p***ing out lots of presents! Eric, I don't have a dog, but once owned a 69 Chevy Malibu. Does that qualify me to join the doggie club?
I don't think you need to own a dog at all to be part of that group, Ron, but I owned a '68 Malibu once and agree with your catagorization. Definately a woofer. Scott and I both own companion dogs that love to ride in the car...in fact mine is usually the first one in when I open the door. There's a photo in the photo section of this group which shows Memphis on the seat of the Vicky. He was ready to go even though the car doesn't run! If you go to Scott's profile there's some photos of him and Cooper in his '53. Cooper's the one with hair...
Ha! That's funny Eric! Yep, Coop's the first one in the car too! He even knows the difference between Jeep and Ford, and gets really excited when I ask him if he wants to for a ride in the Ford. His next ride (or mine) won't be for quite some time with this weather in WI. I have been running it for a while every week or so to keep things in proper working order, though.
