Ryan, Since the format change to the HAMB, several people have commented that certain posts/threads overrun the right margin and continue off the right side of the screen. I am one of these. I haven't found any adjustment on the computer that will redefine the horizontal limit of the window, but maybe I'm dumb. Your recent thread about the Kellison was one of the ones that did this IN SPADES, so that at least several words were lost from each line. There is no bar at the bottom of the screen that can shift the image or restrict its width. I miss a lot of stuff this way, and I know I'm not alone. Can you implement a fix from your end, or advise me how to do it from mine? Or suggest somebody else who might be able to give sound advice? I am on a Mac, a G3-350, and I use Netscape. It's possible that these are a**** the causes. Thanks for whatever help you can offer. Tony Miller 50Fraud
Netscape is your problem. OSX10.X Update your browser to safari/explorer/mozilla and you'll have no dramas. BUT if your running OS9.x I think there are a few too many bugs in general using the older OS - still try the latest explorer though, I think it's your best bet and ditch netscape - too many problems. hopefully it works. FYI I run a Mac G4, OSX10.3, HAMB works in mozilla, firefox, camino, safari but DOESN'T work in as well in explorer.
After I wrote the above, I tried Explorer for sport. On the first page it still overran the right margin, but there was a bar at the bottom that allowed me to scroll right/left. A nuisance, but better than a poke in the eye. On the second and subsequent pages everything composed within the margins, just as they're supposed to. I run OS9.02, and have been told by a buddy that his G3 choked on OS10 so I've been reluctant to try it. I have been meaning to try Mozilla, though, so maybe that will help. tikEK, thanks very much for your advice.
If somebody posts a picture that is too large, it will cause the extended margin. Notice it is only the thread with a large picture that does this!-MIKE
