This Mercury is owned by Matty D. It was a staple of the North East Car Show circuit in the 80s and 90s. It has won numerous First place awards, from Muffler rapping contests, best overall custom, best paint, best interior, best undercarriage, featured in Hot Rod magazine, Used in a Pioneer Car stero commercial in 1985 to introduce CD players. This car was truely ahead of its time, the underneath of the car is just amazing as the top side. What's more amazing, is that this car is true driver. It ran low 11.98 in the 1/4, and every car show Matty left, he would burn the tires off! My dad Bruce, built this car for Matty and I loved my child hood because of all the fun we had with this car. I was able to purchase the sister car to this one later on in life from Matty brother which I still own and cherish to this day. I have many cool photos of this car and will add them shortly. By the way, this photo is recent. This car was painted in 1983.
