Metal polishing pads?

    Hey I got a Chicago pneumatic air powered mini buffer and i wanna know what kind of pads i need for metal polishing. I`m sanding with emory cloth and what kind of compound do I need?

    go check out SEAR's they got every thing you need , the compounds come in 4 pack , emory cake , jewellers rouge & so on . Also check out Eastwood Co.

  5. Do a search for a threat by Polisher. He has an excellent e-booklet about the polishing process. And I'll tell you this, unless you have one hell of an air compressor you might want to look at some of the stuff to use on a bench top machine. It is a long and tedious process to polish stuff.

    I see what you mean...the pads that come with that kit are for paint, and are wool, lambswool, or foam. What you need for metal is more like sewn cotton buffs, or hard felt. I don't know if you can get them with the velcro style backing that the polishing tool has. If you can, I'd be interested as well.
